Eating and Sitting (told through PICTURES)

I just weighed Harris and he did not gain any weight this week (he may even be down a tad bit) BUT I suspect that this will start to turn around because we think (fingers crossed) that we have landed on a formula - Similac Sensitive. After a consult with the doctor where we went through all the reactions we landed on the one that has the "least" negative reactions. It does have the most corn syrup which makes me wonder if our little man is destined for a serious sweet tooth. This decision incidentally ruled out approximately 6 other formulas and breast milk. After a bit of mourning the nursing loss, we dove in and made a switch to only formula. Four days later we are happy to report that we only had 1 or 2 really bad spit ups (down from multiple a day) and that Harris seems to be able to be dirtying those diapers on a somewhat more regular basis! We are still using the anti-gas medicine frequently and will probably see a gastro doctor to discuss options for the reflux but in the mean time Harris is definitely feeling much better.

It is amazing how time flies, and while Harris may have not gotten bigger this week, each day our little man is doing so much more. He has recently found some new favorite places to sit:

First, he now loves to rest in the beanbag chair..

The beanbag that was bought for Jeb but until Harris came along Jeb had absolutely no interest in it...



Then Dad had Harris on the couch and he called in to me to come and see Harris sitting. Harris looks like he can't believe it and trust me mommy couldn't either.

Sitting seems to make Harris so happy - it is a whole new view on the world. A short lived one though.
